When to Replace a KitchenAid Refrigerator Water Filter

How to Replace Your KitchenAid Water Filter

• Insert the new filter into the fridge, arrows should be pointing up.
• Push the filter in until the eject button comes out.
• Flush the line with water.

If You Have Problems Removing the Old Filters

Not all filters will want to come out and they may need a little persuasion to release their grip on your fridge. Here are some steps to take when you run into this problem:

1. Inside the Fridge

The first step is to remove the grill so you have better access to the filter. Next, put a cloth over the cap so you do not ruin it when you place a pair of pliers over it and grip hard. Once you have the pliers in place, turn the cap 1/4 of a turn and then push the eject button.

Finally, pull the filter straight out.
